NaNo meme: Postcast
Nov. 3rd, 2011 11:49 amOh look. I never use this journal. The last time I posted in it was for last year's NaNo. That storyline is still being written, and look at me, I'm writing a post-story to it. The Desert Travels thing merged in with the rest of Overcast, and both part 1 and 2 have finished being laid out. There's some chunks that need to be dealt with in both, but they're doing well. Part 3? Haven't quite figured that out, but it'll be short compared to the other two.
Let's do this meme again and see what changes.
Working Title: Temporarily named Postcast (because it's post-Overcast, haha, get it? /shot)
Genre: Fantasy
Projected Word Count: IDEFK.I'll be lucky if I get to 10k with my past NaNo luck....
AT THE START DO YOU:
Have an outline? Ish.
Scene-by-scene? What is this madness?
Know how it starts?Ish. Yes!
Know how it ends? Not completely. Mooooore or less. I have an idea.
Have your climax in order?Maybe. I have a few possibilities.
Know your main characters yet? Yes!
IS YOUR WORK GOING TO BE:
Funny? In parts.
Sad?In less parts. In more parts.
Semi-Autobiographical?No. Maybe! For the protag, at least. Initially this plotline came forth when I was writing Etsyna's history, and I decided to use Yosemite and Nau-ori as a mouthpiece, so some of that might come in.
Based on another story?Mmm. It takes place on Overcast's continent, but instead of focusing on Novala, it focuses on like... everywhere else XD Wow I didn't even have Etsyna's name a year ago~ But yeah, obv.
HOW MUCH HAVE YOU PLANNED? HAVE YOU USED:
A paper journal? Nope.
Multicolored pens? What? No. Blarg pens.
A computer? Excessively.OneNote ftw. Scrivener ftw.
Index cards? No.
Bulleted lists?Does it count if Overcast's actual story stuff, which is relevant for the side story, has them~? No.
Plot Charts? No.
Character Charts? Ish.
Character formulas? No....
Favorite writing resource?.........OneNote? :D;; ....well I do have like... so much in there... Scrivener.
ODDS AND ENDS:
A line you would like to use: Donno.
A scene you would like to include:Yosemite and Nau-ori recognizing one another as equals. Yosemite's mother trying to kill all of them. Yosemite making use of Shadow magic, whether or not it goes well...
Lol so some changed.

A scene you would like to include:
A concept you would like to explore: Dragonkin Landstriders. Life sucks and most of them generally die quickly. Or are killed. Hey, that strikeout has happened! Yay. Ummm in this? the Bitch Queen the Wyrm King Veneria, def. She's a lot different from Oluvantis and how she interacts with the continent she brought to life.
A cliché you would like to avoid:.....uh. IDK. OT3?!?! I guess that's not a cliche, and it's just in my head lol.
A character you would like to use:I ALREADY KNOW WHO I'M USING?! IDK, depending on when this takes place in regards to the overall Overcast plot, possibly guest appearances from them? I'm debating about pulling someone from part 1/3's groupings. The only possibilities are Theadros and maybe Dineen.
FORWARD THINKING:
Do you expect to be able to complete it? Given my general go at this, no.
Do you intend to complete it? Yeaaaah....
Would you ever try to publish it? Maybe, but not until after Overcast's main.
What do you expect to get out of this month of frantic writing? Procrastination. I need not say more.

NaNo: Synopsis
Nov. 2nd, 2010 05:14 amStricken by the oppression weighing down the nation to the west, Valebridge, Yosemite braves the desert heading south to the one nation that still knows the meaning of "hope." While the desert is hardly safe, it is known to be free of the treacherous dragonkin. However, after coming in contact with Clan Ipsun, he begins to realizes that he is one of few humans that is allowed a glimpse that not everything of the Etsyna continent is unchanging.
